The terms that apply when you use the tVNS UK website or buy a tVNS device through Anatomical Concepts UK Ltd.

These terms apply when you use this website, when you buy a tVNS device from us, and when you contact us for support or advice. Please read them carefully. If anything is unclear, contact us and we will explain it in plain language.

The site and the tVNS UK service are operated by Anatomical Concepts UK Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). The tVNS device itself is manufactured by tVNS Technologies GmbH in Germany, and we are the UK distributor.

1. Who these terms are for

These terms apply to anyone using the site, whether as a patient, carer, clinician, or general visitor. They form a legal agreement between you and Anatomical Concepts UK Ltd. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Medical and clinical information

The information on this site is for general information only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Decisions about medical treatment, including whether tVNS is suitable for you or a patient in your care, should always be made with a clinician who knows the full medical history.

We take care to ensure that the clinical information on this site is accurate and up to date, and to cite the evidence behind it. We do not, however, guarantee that every statement is current, complete, or free of error. If you spot anything that looks wrong, please tell us.

3. Buying the tVNS device

When you buy a tVNS device through this site, the following apply.

  1. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email after payment has been received. Before that point, an order may be declined, for example if a product is out of stock or if the order appears to be fraudulent.
  2. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay.
  3. Delivery is UK wide. Estimated delivery times are shown on the product page. We use a tracked courier service and will share tracking details once the device has been dispatched.
  4. Risk and ownership of the device pass to you on delivery.
  5. Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details at any point.

4. Your right to cancel

You have a statutory right to cancel a purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 within fourteen days of receiving the device, for any reason. The device must be returned in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the purchase price (and standard delivery charges where applicable) within fourteen days of receiving the returned device.

The fourteen day cancellation right does not apply in a small number of cases, including where the device has been used for reasons that make it unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons. If you are unsure whether your situation falls within the cancellation right, contact us and we will advise.

5. Warranty

The tVNS device is supplied with the manufacturer's warranty. In the UK, Anatomical Concepts UK Ltd handles warranty claims directly, so you do not need to contact the manufacturer in Germany. If something goes wrong with your device during the warranty period, contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by the warranty. You are entitled to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they are not, you have legal remedies against us as the seller.

6. Suitability and contraindications

Before buying the tVNS device, please check that it is suitable for you or the person it is for. Per the Instructions for Use, it should not be used by people who are pregnant, who have an active implant (such as a cochlear implant, an implanted vagus nerve stimulator, or a cardiac pacemaker), who have a cerebral shunt, or who have sore, broken, or diseased skin at the electrode site. Anyone with a heart rhythm problem should check with a doctor first. It is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The conditions pages and the product page list the contraindications in more detail. Your clinician is the right person to confirm suitability in any case of doubt.

7. Using the site

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes, and, if you are a healthcare professional, for clinical reference. You must not:

  • Use the site in any way that breaks any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server it is hosted on, or any connected service.
  • Transmit any material that is harmful, defamatory, or infringing.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish content from the site without our permission, other than for personal reference or short quotations with attribution.

We reserve the right to restrict or withdraw access to the site in cases of misuse.

8. Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, images, page layout, and the way the information is organised, is the property of Anatomical Concepts UK Ltd or of the licensors credited in the relevant section, and is protected by UK copyright law. You may view, download, and print content for personal or internal clinical use. You may not republish or redistribute it in any form without written permission.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with the website, the tVNS UK service, and any purchase of a tVNS device is limited to the price paid for the device plus any direct losses reasonably foreseeable at the time of purchase. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

If you are using the site in the course of a business, we exclude all implied terms to the maximum extent permitted by law. These terms apply differently to consumers and to business users in the way the law requires.

10. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to transport disruptions, cyber attacks, manufacturer supply issues, and changes in regulation.

11. Adverse events

If you experience an adverse event while using the tVNS device, please report it to us promptly. We will also submit a report to the UK regulator, the MHRA, through the Yellow Card scheme where appropriate. You can also report directly to the MHRA yourself at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top. Changes apply to use of the site and to orders placed after the date of the change. If the changes are significant, we will try to let people know by other means too.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under them is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless the law of the country you live in gives you additional protection that cannot be taken away by agreement.
