About tVNS UK

Who we are

tVNS UK is the UK product home for the tVNS device from tVNS Technologies GmbH. It is run by Anatomical Concepts UK Ltd, a specialist rehabilitation technology company that has been working in this field since 1992.

We are not a reseller, a marketplace, or a general medical supply business. We choose the devices we represent carefully, learn them properly, and stay involved with the clinicians and patients who use them. In the UK, for tVNS, that means we hold the distribution rights, we handle warranty claims directly, we run clinician training and demonstrations, and we answer the phone when someone calls.

Why a dedicated site

tVNS is a genuine advance in non-invasive neuromodulation. It also sits in a category, at home vagus nerve stimulation, where the public is understandably cautious about any bold claims. We wanted a site that does three things well.

  1. Explain the device honestly, in language that suits both patients and clinicians, without either oversimplifying or hiding behind jargon.
  2. Point clinicians and patients to the evidence, including the studies that are less flattering, because an honest evidence summary is the only kind worth reading.
  3. Give people a direct route to us for questions, warranty, and support, rather than sending them back to a manufacturer in Germany.

The site is not trying to replace the tVNS Technologies GmbH manufacturer site, which is where the device itself is designed and made. It complements it, by being the UK point of contact and the place where the clinical reasoning is written in the voice of a UK rehabilitation team.

Our relationship with tVNS Technologies GmbH

Anatomical Concepts UK is the UK distributor of the tVNS device. The device is designed and manufactured by tVNS Technologies GmbH in Germany. Regulatory responsibility for the device itself sits with the manufacturer. Our job is to make the device available in the UK, to support the clinicians who prescribe it, to support the patients and carers who use it, and to handle warranty claims and after-sales service on the UK side of the channel.

We work directly with the manufacturer on product questions, training materials, and software updates. When you call us, if we do not know the answer, we find it.

What we bring to tVNS in the UK

We have been doing rehabilitation technology for over thirty years. That history matters for a few specific reasons that are worth naming.

Hands-on clinical understanding

We have worked closely with neurologists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation specialists across the UK and internationally. We know how clinicians think about neuromodulation because we have been in their clinics, watching the devices in use, and adjusting our approach based on what we see.

A low-overhead, direct way of working

We do not run a large sales team or a pressure-driven process. If you call us with a question, you get a person who knows the product, not a scripted sales call. If a clinician wants a demo for a single patient, we will arrange it. If a family wants to talk through whether tVNS might help before they buy anything, we will talk through it.

Warranty and support handled in the UK

When you buy a medical device, the thing that often matters most is what happens after the purchase. Warranty claims on tVNS are handled directly by Anatomical Concepts UK, not routed to the manufacturer in Germany. That means faster resolution, and someone in the UK who can actually help you.

The wider context

This is not the only thing we do, and it is worth being transparent about that. Anatomical Concepts UK also distributes and develops other rehabilitation technologies, including the PRAFO range of lower limb positioning devices, which we have been producing and supplying since the 1990s. We also publish clinical and educational content through a separate site, neuromodulation.rehab, which is where the longer-form educational material on vagus nerve stimulation and related topics lives.

tVNS UK is the product home for one specific device. neuromodulation.rehab is where the broader field is covered. The two sites work together but have different jobs.

How we write

A note on the tone of the site. We have chosen to write in plain language, with honest acknowledgement of the limits of the evidence, and with a clear separation between what is proven, what is promising, and what is speculative. If you find yourself reading copy elsewhere on the internet that promises tVNS as a cure, a fix, or a universal solution, please be cautious. That is not our view and it is not supported by the research.

Our view is that tVNS is a credible, well-tolerated, non-invasive option with a real evidence base in specific conditions, worth considering for people who have not been fully helped by conventional care. That is what we will tell you on the phone, in the clinic, and in every page of this site.

Where to go from here

  • If you are a patient or carer, the conditions section and the how to access page are the most useful starting points.
  • If you are a clinician, the clinician zone has the deeper material.
  • If you want to talk to someone, the contact page has our details.
